January is now at it's end, it was a rough month for The Cavity Shoppe, sales weren't the best; but it definitely was expected with all the Holiday blues & all the New Year's Resolutions.....

We begin with February 10th....
The morning of January 24, 2011, The Cavity Shoppe received a call asking for us to participate in a local contest. It was for the Best Red Velvet Cake Contest in Staten Island, February 10th. The winner's prize is to be featured in the local newspaper - The Staten Island Advance. The Exposure would be INSANE! We were so excited, we just couldn't let this chance pass us by. We have been told that our Red Velvet's are really "moist", our frosting is "amazing", our over all flavor is "incredible" and even the "best" that "they've" had. But not on an ENTIRE Island! Wow...., wanna talk about pressure...lol
Our Red Velvet Cake will be featured for judging along with a vast number of local Bakeries here on the Island. I can not lie; I may have competition. I need to stay focused and confident. Wish us Luck!!!!!

The Cavity Shoppe was asked to be featured in this years Queens Fashion Week. I, Ck am originally from Queens. Raised in Astoria Queens, NY pretty much all my life and even though I now live in Staten Island, NY I still have my closest of family (Parents/Siblings) there and I was very honored in being asked to join in on the venue.
This event will feature full-on-fashion, a live DJ, performance artists and goody bags.
The first 200 attendees will get a chance to win a 5 day stay, in the beautiful Dream
Castle Villa, Montego Bay Jamaica! Shop until you drop and then, shop some more!
*The venue will close promptly at 5pm to prepare for the Runway Showcase. Ticket holders will be asked to go to the upstairs QFW lounge. Drawing for the Dream Castle Villa stay, will take place during the Runway Showcase - you must have a ticket to the Runway Showcase!
Since The Cavity Shoppe was elected to Sponsor the VIP Guest with our delectable Cupcakes, we are definitely going to whoa them with Our Classic Red Velvet Cupcake

Baby Showers!!!
The Cavity Shoppe will be hosting two (2) Baby Showers with our lovely Cupcakes.
1- An Attorney & his wife by the name of the Kron's just love our Cupcakes and has requested The Cavity Shoppe to create their Baby Shower's dessert; our flavorful Cupcakes (as well as their son's 3rd Birthday in March). They are having a baby girl,and they are naming her "Audrey". So I'm definitely thinking of incorporating girlie-ness and personalization to each individual Cupcake. Lindsay has requested 4 flavors: Maple French Toast, Red Velvet, Banana Nut and Cookies & Cream. Considering all the flavors its kinda hard to make it so "girlie" but I have a couple of ideas that I think will work. I will post pictures the day of to show my creations, so stay tune!
2- The Cavity Shoppe's friend/fan also is having a bouncing baby Girl. Her Baby shower is nearing (& it's a Surprise) and we're creating something really special for her! So stay tuned to see what was done....can't say too much, she may be reading this.....lol
